Praying together

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:6-7)

Of all spiritual disciplines prayer is the most central because it ushers us into perpetual communion with the Father. We think of prayer primarily as a way to change God, but in reality “prayer is the central avenue God uses to transform us. If we are unwilling to change, we will abandon prayer as a noticeable characteristic of our lives.” - Richard J. Foster, Celebration of Discipline

Combined with reading Scripture, prayer is the best way to fulfill Jesus' instruction to abide in the vine. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”  (John 15:5)

Cell groups

Cell groups are small groups which meet periodically, typically in the home of a member but can also be in a public place or online. We gather to pray for one another, to read and discuss Scripture, and to seek the Lord's will for our lives.

Parish Intercessors (online)

Our Parish Intercessors are members of the parish who meet online to pray for the church and the world. We gather each week to pray for every parishioner and their family members, for specific prayer requests, and to seek God’s will for our church and our people.

Pray 4 Our Children (online)

A majority of our parishioners are parents, and every one of us was a child at some point in our life. Some have felt a special burden to pray for the children in our parish, so we meet every Wednesday evening to pray. For those who can't join us during the week, we also pray on Saturday afternoon once a month.
