Discipleship

Discipleship is a broad topic which encompasses everything we do to become faithful disciples of Jesus. It involves growing in maturity ourselves, and raising up future generations who will stand on our shoulders to climb even higher and see even farther.

But discipleship comes with a cost, as Jesus shows us: “Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, ‘Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.’ Then He said to another, ‘Follow Me.’ But he said, ‘Lord, let me first go and bury my father.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.’ And another also said, ‘Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.’ But Jesus said to him, ‘No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.’” (Luke 9:57-62)

Women's Discipleship

Women's Discipleship has been meeting sporadically online for many months.  Discussion is underway about starting an online study of a specific book or subject.

Holy Order of St. Timothy (HOST)

The Holy Order of St. Timothy is the organization within the ICCEC Diocese of Europe that unites youth aged 13 and above. Its mission is to raise up leaders, worshippers, and prayer warriors in the Church. Our HOST UK group met irregularly before covid, and attended the diocesan HOSTCON conference in 2018. We are praying and seeking resources to get HOST started again in the coming months.

See our Diocesan Facebook page at ICCEC HOST.

Children's Discipleship

Children's Discipleship has been suspended during covid. In the past it has been conducted in a separate space during the homily portion of the Mass, but our recent meeting locations have not provided space for it to continue. We are investigating options for restarting this ministry, perhaps in a new way.
